About Us

Working from Vancouver Island, TimeSagas provides professional interviewing, writing, editing and research skills to help you tell your life story. We’ll meet, chat and determine what you want, map out a plan and produce a product you can be proud of, that captures your thoughts and memories and that meets your budget. Let us introduce ourselves:

David Bray

David has decades of experience as a writer, interviewer, editor and communicator. With skills honed as an award winning print and broadcast journalist and communications manager, he’s well qualified to help you tell your story.

David’s writing and reporting career includes daily newspapers, radio stations and wire services across Canada and in New Zealand. He’s been a columnist, general news reporter, editor and news reader. As a freelancer, he’s contributed to publications and radio outlets across Canada, in the United States and Great Britain.

As a communications professional he’s handled media relations and issues management, written speeches, news releases, reports and managed principal communications for provincial and municipal governments.

He’s lent his writing, interviewing and editing expertise to the critically praised Stories United: Harvesting Elders’ Wisdom collection of life and faith stories gathered in Victoria, BC, and expanded on that work to produce individual personal histories.

As a genealogist he’s tracked his own family background and is using it to write his own personal history. He’d love to write your story!

Edeana Malcolm

Edeana is a poet, short story and historical fiction writer with a love of language and years of experience as an editor and researcher.

As a writer she knows how to build and tell a story. As an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher and a translator, she knows how to find the right words to fit your thoughts. As a researcher she knows how to fill out the background to your story.

Edeana also gave her expertise as interviewer, writer and editor to the Stories United project and followed that with personal histories of two of the individuals profiled in that publication. She’s also been a trainer in the Writing and Sharing Your Life Story program in Victoria, BC.

Her series of four historic novels, The Compleat Gardener, tells a gripping story of romance and political upheavel based on her own family background. Information on the series is available at www.edeana.com.
